Simone has curated a number of exhibitions and special events in places such as galleries, pop up spaces and laneways.

On A Shoestring

This pop up paper bag art exhibition raised money towards the establishment of ARThive ARI. ARThive was founded in 2009, as part of my Bachelor of Fine Art (Hons) at The University of Newcastle, and was a Renew Newcastle project until 2012. This fun exhibition called for artists to post their paper bag artworks as a donation. The artworks for sold for $10 each and $600 was raised towards setting up the gallery space.

This exhibition was curated for The Lock Up volunteers to participate in, sponsored by Dunlop Volley, shoes were given to 'vollies' for recreation. The red dots on the wall represented hours shared by volunteers and board members to facilitate the cultural centre which was once a former Police station,

Theatre Lane Project, Swansea UK

This project featured in the 2017 Troublemaker's Festival in Swansea U.K. hosted by Volcano Theatre Company. After seeing the paste-up project in Theatre Lane, Newcastle Australia in 2012, curator of the festival, Dan Thompson, suggested this artwork would be a good fit as Swansea's Palace Theatre has been sitting idle for many years. Artists were invited to create posters for the Palace Theatre and a temporary paste up project was created for the duration of the festival.
